About Mariana

Mariana was born in Tijuana, Mexico and moved to San Diego, CA when she was 10 years old. She was schooled in San Diego and graduated from Montgomery High School. While in her last year of high school, she became part of the San Diego Police Cadet Program for 3 years until she aged out of the program. She obtained 2 Associates degrees from Southwestern College, one in Criminal Justice and one in Social Sciences. She pursued her education and obtained her bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Point Loma Nazarene University. She continued her education in the pursuit of her master’s degree in Forensic Science when the opportunity came for her to work in the Funeral Industry.
Mariana accepted a position working as a crematory operator. Upon completion of her master’s degree from National University, she decided to stay in the Funeral Industry as she saw a way of helping San Diegan families and families from across the border going through a difficult time of losing a loved one. Although she obtains many skills, what separates Mariana from many others in our industry are her proficiencies in English and Spanish along with experiencing the loss of her grandmothers and aunt. Having the experience of losing someone dear to her has influenced Mariana's desire to help families in their own time of grief.
