About Rita Shaya
Rita was born in Detroit, MI at Beaumont Hospital. Her family moved to San Diego, CA when she was just 1 year old. She was schooled in San Diego and graduated from Valhalla High School. She continued her education and obtained an Associates Degree in Science. After graduating from college she began her career in Occupational Therapy. She ended her career as an occupational therapist to dedicate more time in managing family businesses. Rita’s commitment to growth drove her to obtain a position at San Diego Credit Union. Rita’s exceptional business management, and communication skills were identified quickly as she excelled in the banking industry and was promoted to a Loan Processor. Shortly thereafter she was promoted into a management role. Rita always admired and respected the role of a stay at home mother. She was at a point where she was starting her own family and chose to retire so that she can focus her attention on raising her children. When they were at an age where Rita knew she had instilled key life lessons and values she decided that it was time to revamp her career. Rita’s organizational & leadership skills never went unnoticed. Her brother Robert Zakar quickly recruited Rita as the Office Manager for East County Mortuary.
