About Uyen Do
A Saigon expatriate forced to leave her homeland of Vietnam, Uyen Thai Do immigrated to the United States in 1975. She earned her Master’s Degree in Business Administration and Finance in 1980 and embarked on a career in the funeral and cemetery profession with a strong desire to make a difference in the lives of others. Uyen has worked at El Camino Memorial and Greenwood Memorial Park & Mortuary, counseling families for over 30 years before joining East County Mortuary & Cremation Service. Throughout her career she has pursued a personal mission to understand the many nuances of Chinese, Vietnamese, Laotian, Hmong, Cambodian, Thai, Korean, and Japanese cultures to better serve local Asian communities as well as uphold age-old religious traditions.
